Thanks for putting up the editorial great job but L couldn't enlarge the first page? I suggested to Kelvin that we should put a book together on the history of Tiong Bahru. Record stories and memories from the older residents while they are still around.
Hi Forest, indeed, we should do that book, but we would need to sit down and have a committee formed to drive it through.... shall we save that for after the paint scheme is successfully resolved? it would be an inspiration to take the next step....
Do you know that the Tiong Bahru Hawkers once put up a hard cover book that details the beginning of Tiong Bahru and how their market came about.
It was done entirely by the Tiong Bahru Hawker Association's themselves.
Too bad it is all in Mandarin and I read Chinese articles very very very slowly.
That is the reason why I have not reproduced those articles over at my blog.
