usEaBoth are bricks and mortar built.
The turret protrusion of the postwar flats are a continued legacy of the prewar flats in contrasting style of the sky scrappers on the background.
Housed in these enclave of Tiong Bahru are remnants of the British colonial architectural styles and five footways of the arabic influence in the Chinatown conservation areas.
Five footways is to build a bonding among neighbours, for communication and common ground.
White and grey colour scheme of the locality already gives a close bonding on both the Pre&Postwar flats.
The continuity that both showcased with relatives living in the enclave, it will be good to leave it intact,
to prevent a huge gap to fill if the place is replaced by another no face sky scrapper.
